There is a great event coming up: The Kenosha Festival of Cartooning, being held from September 26-28. http://kenoshacartoonfest.blogspot.com/
I could claim that Kenosha was chosen as the locale because it's my hometown. But really it' because the phenomenal festival organizers are Anne Morse-Hambrock and John Hambrock, who currently call Kenosha home.
The Kenosha News is also a really cool newspaper because it prints daily comics in COLOR!
Hey, I just realized I show up next to Jerry Van Amerongen on the "Artists" page! That is so cool! I am a comics snob and he is one of my all-time favorites.

Quote of the day:
"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced."
-- Obi-Wan Kenobi reacting to the Packers’ last-second loss to the Seahawks
As I take a hiatus from cartooning, I will be relaxing with family around the TV to watch my favorite holiday specials:
Rudolph's Shiny New Camaro
How the Grinch Stole my Girlfriend
It's Chanukah, Charlie Brown
Frosty the Beer
I went to the mall and bought my wife a gift card. I paid for it with a gift card.

.. Saw Disney's "Frozen" for the first time this weekend. Two thoughts:
1. I amused myself by imagining Yukon Cornelius showing up at any moment.
2. With the city in grave peril of being frozen for eternity, I just kept thinking "those people are going to get ice dams".
Just got back from Barnes & Noble. The Suzanne Somers section was as big as the comic strips section. Sad, sad, sad.
